My name is Natalie, I am fifteen years old, and I am from Komoka, Ontario. I am so excited to start my journey in hopes of becoming Miss Teenage Canada 2014!
I joined the pageant because I was very touched by Miss Canada 2012 (Jaclyn Miles) who spoke at my high school last year and told us about her story. She is a victim of domestic abuse and is such an inspiring and strong woman. From this day on, my journey began and continues each day!
My platform is to raise awareness about special needs children and the importance of treating everyone with equal respect and dignity. This year, I have become involved with a program at my school called ‘Best Buddies’, which helps form a bond between special needs students and other students within the school. Recently, I have applied to be a Developmental Educational (D.E) Peer Supporter in grade 11 and have successfully made it into the program! I cannot wait to be involved with such an important part of our school. I believe that this experience, and the ones to come, could strongly impact my high school years.
In the future, I hope to attend university in New York city and study entrepreneurship and fashion. I have always been interested in clothing jewellery, shoes, etc. and hopefully someday all of my dreams and goals will come true. Also, I have recently been scouted by the Canadian Model and Talent Convention, taking place in May, and I am looking to pursue a modelling career!
I cannot wait to meet all of you wonderful ladies in the summer and make memories that will last a lifetime!
Bye for now, xoxo
